Location: Africa
Primary Trauma Care training was first introduced to Africa in 2000. Since that time, it has spread to many countries, a result of the hard work and support from David Olortuntoba and his team of instructors from South Africa.

Our PTC colleagues in Goma DRC conducted their first course in January 2019 with support from Kyeshero Hospital, CH CEDIGO and the Surgical Club in Congo. They have recently presented a follow-up course – April 2019 and plans are underway for a 2-1-2 course later in the year.
They hope to conduct further courses in other cities of the North Kivu Province and also neighbouring Provinces – South Kivu and Maniema.
PTC is very grateful to Dr Idi and his team for their work and support in Goma.
