PTCF People

PTCF is a highly efficient body, with only two part time staff. The bulk of our work is carried out by our extensive network of volunteers, who give up their valuable time to deliver PTC courses across the globe.

Our Patron

Sir-Terrence-English-KBE-FRC

“I am proud to be the Patron of the Primary Trauma Care Foundation and its lifesaving training, helping doctors all over the world to provide critical, immediate management to the seriously injured.

The Foundation excels at training doctors in some of the poorest countries, with very limited resources, with outstanding success.”

Sir Terence English KBE FRCS, Patron

Board of Trustees

The Board of Trustees is the governing body of the PTCF. It is responsible to the UK Charity Commission to ensure that the organisation fulfils its original purpose, is well managed and accountable, and operates with appropriate strategies, policies and ethical values.

The trustees are all volunteers, drawn from the medical field and other relevant disciplines. They meet usually four times per year, in Oxford but also connected by video link with trustees who live in other countries.
