Jeanne has been a consultant anaesthetist in London since 1990. In addition to PTC, her overseas interests are with MSF, the ICRC and helping to run a course on Anaesthesia in Developing Countries in Uganda every year.
She has taught extensively on the previous WFSA refresher courses in Mozambique and Rwanda. She is an instructor for the anaesthesia course for the UK International Emergency Trauma Register (UKIETR) and has been an anaesthesia advisor for the ICRC. She has been involved with PTC since 2003 and has helped to set up or lead PTC courses in Belgium (MSF), Gaza, Iraq, West Bank, Jordan, Lebanon, China, Rwanda, Malawi, Namibia, Madagascar and Ghana. She led the team of instructors for the DFID/THET project teaching PTC in ten COSESCA countries and also led the programme for the first PTC Africa conference in Cape Town in 2014.
This award recognises that the individual has organised at least 4 PTC Course cascades and has trained at least 10 instructors.
