Ben Parker

PTCF Student Ambassador

Ben is a rotational band 5 Physiotherapist at Swansea-University Health Board having graduated from Cardiff University in 2021. Ben spent five years living overseas at a young age and developed a passion for travel and experiencing other cultures. He has been a successful volunteer charity fundraiser for the past 10 years, raising thousands for multiple charities which include the Royal British legion, Children’s Society and Midlands Air Ambulance.

“When it comes to patient care, effective and informative training is crucial. This is never more the case than in an acute setting where every second counts. Hearing and seeing first-hand the wealth of practical skills that the training-courses PTCF provides, it became apparent to me how much all healthcare practitioners would benefit from this globally. Especially in third world countries where primary trauma is a leading cause of death and injury. That is why I’m honoured to represent the Primary Trauma Care Foundation as a Junior Ambassador and can’t wait to spread awareness of this initiative to my peers, colleagues, students, and potential supporters.”
