Atkins team raise over £2000 for PTCF

A BIG cheer for Charlie Hopwood and 9 members of the Atkins team who ran the Manchester Tough Mudder on 22 October raising over £2000 for PTCF. For those of you that are not familiar with the toughest endurance challenge in the UK, this was a 10K course which includes 20 of Tough Mudder’s famous obstacles, such as Arctic Enema, Everest, Mudderhorn and Electricshock.

First UK Based Training Day

On Friday 14 October 2022 three of the Primary Trauma Care Foundation’s senior faculty ran an intensive one-day training day for new UK NHS PTC faculty.  Whilst this type of training has been run previously outside the UK, this was the first time we have tried this in England. Jeanne Frossard, Tim Beacon, and Nigel Rossiter designed and ran the training day at Tim’s Medical Aid International headquarters, near Bedford.

Fiji Training

Another terrific course report from our colleagues in Fiji (July 2022), where they again have delivered PTC training for a wide pre-hospital group, including 6 different providers (Police, Fire, Armed Forces, Private Healthcare, Ministry of Health and St Johns Ambulance).

With trauma noted to be in the top 5 reasons for death and morbidity in Fiji, this training is becoming popular among the pre-hospital care providers and very much an important milestone for the local PTC faculty.

Extending the Reach and Relevance of PTC Training – Pacific PTC Faculty Show How It’s Done

Congratulations To PTC Instructor Shail Rupakheti
